On the morning of January 2, 2024, russia launched another mass rocket strike on the city of Kyiv, resulting in many people being injured or losing their lives, and many buildings being destroyed.
The manufacturing facilities of Woodstock Guitars were located in a building that was hit by two rockets. Unfortunately, the building was nearly completely destroyed. Fortunately, no one was harmed.
The fire that engulfed the building lasted nearly a day. While firefighters battled the flames, our team rescued guitars and equipment from the fire and smoke that were inside the building at the time of the strike.
We managed to save a significant portion of our wood supply, guitar bodies, necks, and equipment. But the destruction of the building was extensive, and we could not continue to stay where we had been building guitars for the past 12 years. For a while, we were homeless, but soon we found a suitable location where we could move our manufacturing facilities. Over the course of 2 months, we dismantled the workshop and set up a new space.
And here we are, ready to begin anew. Exhausted but alive, we are prepared to continue our mission.
Ahead lies much to accomplish. Developing new models and refining existing guitar and bass models. We've retrieved several prototypes from our archives and are also launching them into production.
From the wood that survived the rocket strike and fire, we will create a limited series of electric guitars called "From the Ashes," all proceeds from the sale of which will go towards rebuilding our production and supporting our employees, thanks to whom Woodstock Guitars survived and did not burn down completely.
